Gianluca Pighi and Massimo Paramour, the former based in Italy, the latter in England, are still young but certainly no newcomers when it comes down to creating inspiring and exciting house music. Opening up dj sets from the likes of Francois Kevorkian, Tedd Patterson, Frankie Knuckles, Nic Fanciulli and Phil Weeks has been crucial to Gianluca. They all helped him shape his very own idea of house music. An idea that now is at the core of the label he successfully runs, Mint Condition Records. Massimo Paramour, a musician in every sense of the word, started his career at Media Records in 1994, alongside DJ Professor, co-writing and producing international dance-hits for Cappella, 49ers, Sharada House Gang, Clubhouse to name a few, and collaborating with other producers such as Ashley Beedle, Gemini, Ralphi Rosario, Roc & Cato, Chris Coco and A Man Called Adam. In the last few years he has been releasing records on labels like Nervous, Azuli, Hotfingers, Glasgow Underground, Kult, Makin’ Moves, Koolwaters, Velcro City Records. He also engineers and arranges for several other DJ/producers and singer/songwriters.

Obsessed by “quality above all” (hence, the word “mint”), the third release in the Mint Condition Records catalogue is a soulful tracks that features the enchanting voice of Ahmad Larnes (Schwarz Don’t Crack). “City Living” is a wonderfully smooth track that will either bring a wide smile to your face or make your feet move. Or both, if you feel like it! And while the original version retains a joyful and poppy attitude throughout its whole length, the “Acton Town Mix” is an unforgiving dancefloor beast that wears a pulsating deep-tech-house heart on its sleeve.

Out now on Mint Condition, “City Living” is a new step forward for the Italian label.
